DESCRIPTION: Furtwangler, L. & Sohne, Furtwangen, Germany, tall clock, 8 days, time & gong strike, weight driven movement marked "LFS" in an open well carved and turned oak case with brass appliqués, cast brass grate in base, fancy embossed copper tone pendulum with two decorative tear drop weights clad with a wooden ring, suspended sun burst medallion and brass dial, c1875
CONDITION: the clock is in very good original condition. There is one piece of molding missing below open well on the front and there is a veneer crack on the left base plinth. There is some corner separation in left side of plinth. Ht 91 1/2", Width 16", Depth 12" Note the "LFS" stylized imprint appears as an early Lenzkirch logo on movements.
